Sri Lanka participates in the World Travel Show, Warsaw 2017
The Sri Lanka Embassy in Warsaw participated in the 2nd International Tourism Fair, – World Travel Show at the PTAK Warsaw Expo held from 20th -22nd October 2017.World Travel Show, is one of the major fair events in the tourist industry in Poland.
The organizers’ goal is the promotion of the latest trends in national and foreign tourism.The Embassy of Sri Lanka in association with the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau participated with a large information stand in the Fair decorated with colorful pictures, maps and enhancing roll-ups.The tourism materials from the Sri Lankan Tourism Promotion Bureau were circulated among the large number of visitors who were looking for more information about Sri Lanka.
The Embassy staff was responding to visitor’s questions and Complimentary cups of Ceylon Tea were served tothem.In addition, a well-attended presentation on Sri Lanka was held at this event. During the presentation, the Polish tourism-related press and the public was briefed on reasons why Sri Lanka is an ideal tourist destination.Polish tourist arrivals increased by approximately 20% as compared to the previous year due to tourism promotional initiatives. A significant increase in Polish tourists to Sri Lanka for 2017 is expected.
