The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Poland commenced the New Year 2026 ceremonially, with the hoisting of the national flag, singing the national anthem and commemorating the tri-forces who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
The Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Poland, Priyangika Dharmasena, in her address to the staff, appreciated the support rendered by them in the previous year in carrying out the work of the Embassy. She encouraged them to further assist in the coming year for the implementation of the “Clean Sri Lanka” programme, in order to create “a thriving country and beautiful life.”
Furthermore, Ambassador Dharmasena emphasized the importance of efficiency, productivity, determination, dedication, honestly and loyalty, in employees, to achieve the respective goals of the policies established by the government.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the staff enjoyed a table laid with Sri Lankan traditional sweetmeats.
