The commencement of the first working day of 2020 was held at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Warsaw with the participation of Ambassador and all staff members of the Mission on 2nd January 2020.
Following the hoisting of the National Flag and singing of the National Anthem, the Embassy staff observed two minutes of silence to commemorate the war heroes and others who sacrificed their lives for the country.
Taking the oath of the public service all staff members determined to discharge of their duties to the utmost satisfaction of the public and also to implement the policies of the government for the year 2020 efficiently and effectively.
Concluding the official ceremony, The Ambassador requested the staff to maintain the same caliber of work for the year 2020 too and emphasized the responsibilities of the Staff of the Embassy to serve the public with utmost efficiency, transparency, honesty, and commitment.
